Garmin Intensity Minutes

I don’t now if it was a bug but while siting at my computer, my intensity minutes spiked. Yes my job can be stressful, but it should not create intensity. Was I fidgeting? The answer is really I do not know. Although I have sports goals for next year, my main goal is the exercise for longevity. What I have learned over the years, especially for my health, is that things not measured, no change happens. ...

RRS Referesher 25 Rules at the Start Pre Read

Taking the Speed & Smarts Rules Refresher webinar. Part of the homework was to read about: Definition: Keep Clear Definition: Room Definition: Proper Course Rule 11 On the Same Tack, Overlapped Rule 15 Acquiring Right of Way Rule 16 Changing Course Preamble to Section C This my pre-work. I made bold the words: seamanlike way. I sail with a amature crew. Things happen. The irony, is that most sailors do not get, is that things happen part does not give you rights. As long as the boat with right away does not collide, you fouled the right of way boat. ...

Three Deaths

I heard a phrase earlier this week, It was struck me hard. The AI answer was: 3 deaths" can refer to either a metaphorical concept of death or a coincidental pattern in real-world events. The metaphorical "three deaths" describes a person's symbolic end when their name is forgotten, as popularized by neuroscientist David Eagleman in his book Sum. The Metaphorical Three Deaths The First Death: The physical death of a person's body, when their heart stops beating and they are no longer alive. The Second Death: The physical burial of the body. The Third Death: The symbolic death that occurs when a person's name is spoken for the last time, a concept that suggests a life is not fully over until the last person who remembers it has passed on. Why this caught my eye, is that I keep a minimum of two days a year for remembrance of my Mother, Grandmother and Grandfather. I take the vacation day off from work, go to Mass and put flowers on their crypts. I also, I will take a half day on All Souls Day for Mass. ...
