Bugay Single Handed Race Sunday 2019

Time-lapse (1 frame every 0.5 seconds) of me sailing in the Bugay Single Handed Race. The time-lapse represents 2 hours and 45 minutes of sailing. Did not make it around Platform C because of the lack of wind and concern that I would not make it back in time. A the small craft warning actually happen. The wind got up to 20+ on the way in. Motored the last mile because I was having trouble holding the boat down.

First part of the race was hard for me. I was late to the line. Also the lack of wind made it hard for me to pay attention to the task at hand.

Time lapse did not capture the fact that the swells where large.

There were a total of four sailors that day. One single handed a J111. I don't know how he did it, but I am impressed. Another who finished was on a Moore 24.
